Learning about our Christian Faith is a life long journey.  We believe that Christian formation develops as we participate in liturgy, read and study together, participate in mission and outreach, share in fellowship, and reflect on all of these experiences.

sunday morning christian education

At 9:15 we gather for adult Christian education.  These sessions range from book studies, to learning about the church, to exploring Saints in Lent Madness, Each season brings a new focus to our Sunday morning classes. Beginning on September 16, 2018 our book study will be Interrupting Silence by Walter Brueggemann

Also at 9:15  Youth age 10 and up gather upstairs in the nave for "Double Digit Disciples" as we engage the biblical story and also learn about our Episcopal Worship and traditions.

During the 10:30 service, children ages 3 and up are invited to go downstairs for a Bible story and craft time as they develop their faith in ways that are matched to their ages.  Children return to the service at the Lord's Prayer and participate in receiving communion.

On First and Third Sundays from 12:30 to 2:00, Youth ages 13 and up gather for Teen Time.

EfM - Education for Ministry

EfM is a weekday adult education opportunity.  This 4 year program from the School of Theology in Sewanee, TN, is a seminar program where we reflect on our faith in the context of our daily lives and ministries.  The readings include the Old Testament, the New Testament, Christian History, Theology and Ethics.  Participants commit to one year at a time and gather weekly for Theological Relfection.

The good book club

Many of the Christ Church parishioners are participating in the "Good Book Club" with daily readings in the books of Luke and Acts during Lent and Easter.
