Our Episcopal worship services are rooted in centuries of Christian tradition and at the same time they challenge us to live into our faith in our contemporary world. Our Christian tradition is rich and deep, and we are a community of life-long learners. Education opportunities abound at Christ Church, with offerings and activities for everyone, from the youngest children to the most seasoned adults.
We are a small, friendly community that comes together each week to be nourished by the liturgy and our fellowship time together We are a diverse group of people from all walks of life who care deeply for one another.
Our worship services are found in the Book of Common Prayer and are characterized by a sense of joy in the presence and wonder of a loving God. We believe in the power of prayer and you can add names and concerns to our weekly prayer list by calling the church office at (907) 345-7914.
Service to Others
Our gardens and greenhouse produce food for an Episcopal food pantry. We provide meals for the women and children at Clare House.
Join us on Saturdays to make prayer quilts and quilts for veterans. Click the "More" button to see a schedule of upcoming sewing days.
Our Youth are growing in faith and service, both in the church and beyond. On Sunday mornings, during the 10:30 service we offer craft time for ages 3 and up. The children explore the day's gospel in story and crafts.
The Christ Church Youth take active roles in the service. Our youngest children help by bringing food to the altar at the offertory. As they grow they learn to be acolytes, serving as torch bearers and crucifers.
The youth group meets weekly for activity nights where they cook with Rev. Katherine, play miniature golf or go bowling, learn to make Anglican Rosaries, do outreach projects,and have game nights.
